v0.1.2-experimental: gradual knob control
Fixes knobs driving volume or pan straight to the limits. The earlier converter wrote 240 in the second encoder-record field, producing excessive relative MIDI messages. The corrected value is 2, matching the inspected Elite FL defaults, in both knob banks.
The owner confirmed gradual Cha Mode volume and Seq Mode volume/pan on knobs 1 and 2. The full corrected profile was read back and verified. Remaining controls and compatibility limits are recorded in docs/VALIDATION.md.
Upgrade from build 916
Update your source tools, make a fresh profile backup and apply the corrected profile using docs/FL-STUDIO.md. Existing v0.1.1 FL scripts need no changes. No firmware reflash is required. Keep the documented MIDI input routing.
Cha Mode assigns all eight knobs to channel volumes. Seq Mode assigns knob 1 to selected-channel volume and knob 2 to pan.
New installations should follow docs/SETUP.md. Firmware build 916 is unchanged; its firmware, manifest, checksums and installation notice are attached. The installer remains an advanced procedure without a portable hardware-validated turnkey flasher.
Attribution and licensing remain in THIRD_PARTY.md. Support Kriton Georgiou on Ko-fi.

v0.1.1-experimental: keyboard, navigation and playback fixes
The firmware binary remains build 916 with the same SHA-256 as v0.1.0. These changes correct the saved controller profile and FL Studio script. Existing build-916 users do not need to reflash.
- Piano notes now use MIDI channel 1; channel 2 remains reserved for FL control pads. This fixes C2, F2, F-sharp2, G2 and other notes activating sequencer steps or channel controls.
- Physical left/right buttons now send momentary CC 56/57 on channel 1, selecting channels with one click in Channel and Sequencer modes.
- SEQ PLAY sends channel-2 note 123 without a release. The script now treats each pulse as a separate play/stop tap while retaining the held-pad guard for other toggles.
- Script patching accepts the original supported revision and the known earlier patched revision; unknown versions still fail safely.
The owner confirmed keys, one-click arrows and repeated SEQ PLAY taps on the same Pro. All 32 repository tests and 12 local transport regressions passed. Full compatibility/recovery limits remain in docs/VALIDATION.md.
Existing installations
- Download this release's source ZIP or update your checkout.
- Make a fresh profile backup and apply the corrected profile using docs/FL-STUDIO.md. Backups from before unrelated profile changes are intentionally rejected by apply.
- Verify and patch your existing Elite script into a new folder. Back up the installed script, replace the changed files, then restart FL Studio.
- Retain the documented MIDI routing: main input disabled, Elite script only on MIDIIN2, matching MIDIOUT2 port.
New installations
Use docs/SETUP.md. Firmware, manifest, checksums and installation notice are attached as assets. The firmware installer remains an advanced procedure; no portable hardware-validated turnkey flasher is included.
The firmware is manufacturer-derived; MIT covers original project tools/docs. Credits include genkigenki's SMK projects and kagaimiq's JieLi tools; see THIRD_PARTY.md.

Read before flashing
Follow the complete setup checklist, advanced installation and recovery notes. Keep your own verified full-flash backup. Firmware alone does not configure the controller profile or FL host integration.
A reviewed portable firmware flasher, full per-control hardware matrix and complete post-transplant recovery exercise remain pending. Direct MidiSuite/M-UPGRADE installation of the hybrid package is unverified. The new portable Mido profile adapter has offline tests but no physical validation. Additional event/light script patches passed regression tests and were installed; final reload/physical verification was not observed. Dedicated SEQ PLAY/REC behavior is not individually confirmed.
The owner confirmed FL display feedback and controller response. Duplicate main/private MIDI streams caused double toggles; using the Elite script on MIDIIN2 only fixed those toggles by owner confirmation.
Credits and licensing
The successful experiment used genkigenki's SMK porting research, the SMK/Makkuro37 restricted loader, and kagaimiq's JieLi tools. See full attribution, including format research, FM-1 references and other contributors.
The firmware asset contains M-VAVE's Elite application with Pro-compatible packaging and two identity changes. It is manufacturer-derived firmware, not an MIT-licensed reimplementation. The repository MIT license covers original tools/documentation; upstream software retains its own rights and licenses. Community loader/ROM binaries, personal profiles, calibration data and device backups are not included.
