About

A catalog for open-source music hardware firmware

Reverbose collects the custom firmware, mods and tools people write for synths, grooveboxes, samplers and controllers, so you can find what runs on your hardware and the people who build it can be found.

Why it exists

Great firmware for music hardware is scattered across GitHub repos, forum threads and old wiki pages. Finding out what runs on your hardware, whether it is still maintained and how to install it safely usually means an evening of searching. Reverbose puts it in one place, organised by maker, hardware family and model.

What we list

  • Firmware that replaces what your hardware ships with, mods that add to it, and tools that work alongside it.
  • Only projects whose source is public on GitHub. We do not host or sell files.
  • Every firmware page shows its license, its latest release and real activity from its repository.

How it stays honest

  • Downloads go straight to the creator’s GitHub release. Nothing is rehosted or repackaged.
  • A firmware page belongs to whoever controls the repo on GitHub. Creators claim it by signing in with that account.
  • Rankings come from releases, votes, downloads and stars. Nothing you can pay for changes them.
