    Lama is an unofficial custom build of the Owlet firmware 1.3 for the Synthstrom Deluge.

    Additions

    • Vowel filter (LPF mode Vowel): eight vowels (A, AE, E, I, UE, OE, O, U), resonance, formant shift (modulation works in both directions), Raw.
    • Custom LFO shapes with a full-screen shape editor: up to 64 points per cycle, bendable segments, zoom up to x8 (pages with Scale / Cross Screen), undo / redo, reverse. 40 presets, including polyrhythms, drum & bass grooves and round versions; zoomed in, a preset loads into the visible page.
    • 8-bar LFO sync.
    • Saturation editor (Drive, Asymmetry, Mix, Tone) and Wavefold editor (Amount, Symmetry, Tone).
    • Bass Mono, EQ Mid band, Table Shaper Tone.

    Fixes

    • Low memory: no more freezes in long sessions with many synths and kits; a PHI oscillator that gets no memory plays silence instead of crashing.
    • Crash fixes from upstream Owlet: voice culling, audio track recording sources, a buffer overflow when naming new files, MIDI Follow after a clip swap.
    • Harm effect: Level and Fine Tune are saved with the sound.
    • Custom LFO shapes with more than 25 points load correctly.

    Removed

    DX7 engine, Ringmod synth mode, Kick synth mode (earlier custom builds), PHI Stair / Weave / Vox / Gendy oscillators, Club filter. How older songs and presets load them: manual, section 10.

    Installation

    1. Back up the SD card.
    2. Copy Lama-2026-10-16.bin to the root of the SD card. Keep only one .bin file there.
    3. Switch the Deluge on while holding Shift.
    4. Check: Shift + press Select opens the settings; Firmware version (last item) shows Lama 1.3.0-dev-....
