v1_8_6v1.8.6 - We Love Diagrams!Latest0 files
- Create a new block diagram from a template, browsed by category and pulled from the easy-spin-effects GitHub repository
- Pots in the simulator are now labelled automatically for a
.spndiagram, from what each pot is wired to — including through Smoother and other control-shaping blocks, so a pot feeding a delay through a smoother reads "Delay Time" rather than "CV In" - Bump fv1-core and easy-spin-ui. Block changes worth knowing about:
- Two new blocks: Allpass (four cascaded diffusers, the building block of a reverb) and Chirp (up to 30 identical all-passes for spring-style dispersion)
- Fixed: 4-Voice Chorus swept twice the LFO Width you set, which ran the modulated taps off the end of its delay line at wider settings
- Fixed: Pitch Shift ignored its Semitones setting entirely — every value produced the same shift, and negative values played backwards
- Fixed: the Flanger's second output is now the unmodulated centre tap it was meant to be, instead of a fixed tap at the far end of the delay line
- New controls: Shimmer Reverb Diffusion and Wet Level, Octave Up & Down Buffer Size, Harmonic Tremolo Band Mode and a Frequency CV input
- Mix controls on Simple Reverb and Shimmer Reverb no longer change loudness as you sweep them
- Programs use less delay RAM: memory for a block stage that is switched off is no longer reserved
- A DAC block with a gain no longer costs an extra instruction
v1_8_5v1.8.5 - Straight Outta COMPA0 files
- Pick up latest fv1-core with a fix to the simulator related to the COMPA flag on cho rda
- Mixer blocks are slightly more efficient
v1_8_4v1.8.4 - Now More Accurate!0 files
This release picks up the latest fv1-core and easy-spin-ui with a fix to the simulator related to LFOs. The ramp_lfo block has also changed (it actually works properly now), and it also removes the useless WLDR amplitude setting.
v1_8_3v1.8.3 - What A Character!0 files
Bump fv1-core
v1_8_2v1.8.2 - Take It To The Bank0 files
Support for opening .spnbank files in the simulator Minor improvements
v1_8_1v1.8.1 - Don't Label Me0 files
Bump fv1-core and release
v1_8_0v1.8.0 - Love In Stereo0 files
- Support for exporting a bank to HEX
- Support for reading from a pedal (and a disassembler)
- Dynamic POT labels in the simulator
- A bunch of other goodies....
v1_7_2v1.7.2 - A Chorus of Consistency0 files
- Pick up latest fv1-core with small fix to chorus and flanger blocks for CV consistency
- Remove redundant and broken resource pills in the block diagram editor
v1_7_1v1.7.1 - On Ramp0 files
Bump fv1-core to pick up some more fixes, particularly in the ramp_lfo block
v1_7_0v1.7.0 - We've Been Audited!0 files
- Pick up latest fv1-core (0.6.14) with a major block audit
- Unified Mix behaviour: all Mix controls now use a constant-power crossfade, holding level flat across the sweep instead of dipping ~3 dB in the middle (Bit-Mangler, Chiptune, Guitar Synth, Organ Synth, Auto Wah)
- Headroom fixes: Organ Synth drawbars are now normalised (previously distorted at every usable input level), Spring Reverb and 2-Pole SVF no longer clip internally, Room Reverb output level matched to the other reverbs
- Blocks that were partly or wholly inert now work: Chiptune's noise channel and ring modulator, the Ramp LFO, and Ducking Reverb's Sensitivity control
- CV controls now consistent: a connected CV scales within the parameter's value rather than replacing it. Note: patches driving the Sin/Cos LFO Speed from a pot will run faster at the same knob position
- Room Reverb decay roughly doubles at the same Reverb Time; Allpass controls capped at 0.7 and Micro-Stutter Wet Level at 1.0, above which they distorted
- Compiler/assembler: fixed dead-store elimination deleting live state at
optimization level 2,
@ifconditions silently dropping guarded code, out-of-range branches encoding silently, and duplicate labels colliding
- Debugger: live reload — edit assembly or block parameters while running
- Debugger: fixed a session leak and large performance improvements in the scope
- Fixed the spectrogram not drawing until the panel was resized
- Block diagram editor: ports snap when wiring, and each modified parameter has a "Reset to Default" button
- Removed
fv1.hardware.regCountandfv1.hardware.delaySizesettings — both are fixed by the FV-1 instruction encoding and were never adjustable in practice
- Pick up latest fv1-core (0.6.14) with a major block audit
v1_6_7v1.6.7 - Ya Blockhead!0 files
Bump fv1-core. Numerous fixes to blocks. Much better simple reverb block. Fixed an optimizer bug.
