  1. v0.9.1Mocky 0.9.1Latest1 file

Mocky 0.9.1: Mocky now works with the FM-1 Screen Reader.

Install: https://charlesvestal.github.io/fm1-mocky/install/ (Chrome or Edge, FM-1 on USB), or python3 tools/fm1_install.py mocky-0.9.1.fwsc. Send pictures: https://charlesvestal.github.io/fm1-mocky/app/

    • A picture can't be put into words, so Mocky tells the reader everything else it shows: which picture is on the screen ("picture 3 of 7"), a new picture arriving from the page and whether it was kept, the gallery being cleared, the slideshow and its pace, and the room left.
    • Every note on the screen is said too: SAVE, HOME, the keys, the slideshow. When something doesn't happen (the gallery is full, there's nothing to keep, fewer than two pictures for a slideshow), the reader says what didn't happen and what to do.
    • Open the reader in Chrome with the FM-1 plugged in. It speaks with its own voice, or hands the text to your computer's screen reader.
    • The reader shares the USB cable with the picture page: sending pictures works just as before, with or without the reader open.

  2. v0.9Mocky 0.91 file

First release of Mocky: pictures on the M-VAVE FM-1's screen, sent from the browser, for checking screen mockups on the real hardware.

Install: https://charlesvestal.github.io/fm1-mocky/install/ (Chrome or Edge, FM-1 on USB), or python3 tools/fm1_install.py mocky-0.9.fwsc. Send pictures: https://charlesvestal.github.io/fm1-mocky/app/

    • Drop, choose or paste a picture; it's scaled to 240 × 240 (Fit, Fill, Stretch, 1:1) and shown in the screen's own colours before it's sent. Optional dither for photos and gradients.
    • Sent in about a tenth of a second for a flat mockup, under two seconds for a photo.
    • Keep pictures on the FM-1: 276 KB of flash, up to 64 pictures; it starts on the one you looked at last.
    • Drop several pictures to send a whole flow in order; "Watch a file" re-sends a file each time it changes on disk.
    • On the FM-1: white keys pick pictures 1–16, OCT− / OCT+ and the knobs step, PLAY runs a slideshow (KNOB 4 sets the pace), SAVE keeps a picture sent without keeping, HOME shows where you are and the room left.
    • Felucca's safety stays: update mode (OCT− + OCT+ held 5 s), safe mode after two failed starts, and the installer can put M-VAVE's firmware back.
