Lighter on the CPU, and RANDOM no longer risks an audio dropout.
- RANDOM chops in a fixed, short time (it could stall audio for several blocks)
- Parameter changes are spread over blocks instead of all landing in one
- Toolkit bench on an MPC Live II: WARN, p99 32.5-34.1% of a block, worst block 57-62% (1.0.31 failed, worst block 806-820%). Fine for one or two instances alongside a normal project.
Install: unpack on the MPC and run
install.sh; it stops and restarts MPC, so save your project first.v1.0.31ChronoStretch 1.0.311 file
The installer for MPC OS 3.x (tested on an MPC Live II). Unpack it and run install.sh (it stops and restarts MPC), then add ChronoStretch to a plugin track. User/README.txt in the zip is the guide.
New since 1.0.26:
- Cleaner sound: the output is 32-bit float, and nothing colours it below a limiter that only acts near full scale.
- Better drum removal and solo: two-pass separation, with much less of the music left in the drums and vice versa. DRUMS READY takes longer to appear.
- Main page top bar: SYNC and 1/2 SPEED switches, and PADS / KEYS (the MIDI KEYS setting; KEYS was ALL 64).
- MIDI KEYS starts on PADS.

The installer for MPC OS 3.x (tested on an MPC Live II). Unpack it and run install.sh (it stops and restarts MPC), then add ChronoStretch to a plugin track. User/README.txt in the zip is the guide.
New since 1.0.24:
- MIDI KEYS starts on ALL 64: a keyboard plays every chop from any bank (C1 is chop 1, up to D#6 for chop 64), and recorded notes keep playing the same chops whatever bank is on screen. Projects saved with PADS keep it; switch on the SOUND page.
- PADS mode: hitting a chop of another bank no longer switches BANK.
v1.0.24ChronoStretch 1.0.241 file
The installer for MPC OS 3.x (tested on an MPC Live II). Unpack it and run install.sh (it stops and restarts MPC), then add ChronoStretch to a plugin track. User/README.txt in the zip is the guide.
New since 1.0.21:
- FX layers: double-tap presets on the FX page to stack up to 4 on a pad; the page lights them all.
- The other banks' chops show on the waveform, faded in their pads' colours.
- MIDI KEYS ALL 64 (SOUND page): a keyboard plays all 64 chops from C1 up, across every bank.

The installer for MPC OS 3.x (tested on an MPC Live II). Unpack it and run install.sh (it stops and restarts MPC), then add ChronoStretch to a plugin track. User/README.txt in the zip is the guide.
New in the 1.0 series: a drive browser with previews, 64 chops in four banks, RANDOM chops, per-pad FX presets, layer groups, 1/2 SPEED, fine zoom, a 10-step undo, and MPC's STOP stopping it while a sequence plays.
