The Axoloti Core has always been powerful hardware held back by its software. Algoradix keeps the hardware and replaces everything else.

algoradix-firmware is custom firmware for the Roffa Logics Algo Radix and Axoloti Core, by @Gianducaconte. Open source under GPL-3.0, latest release v1.0.0 (November 2026).

    Back up your Core's original flash first: dfu-util -d 0483:df11 -a 0 -s 0x08000000:1048576 -U original.bin. Recovery is always possible through the STM32 ROM bootloader (see docs/flashing.md).

    Highlights

    • Patch host: sound engines are files on the SD card, swapped without a reboot, checked before loading, with a fallback to the built-in engine.
    • Banks (one per folder), Bank Select and Program Change, per-patch presets saved automatically.
    • MIDI DIN and USB host merged with thru; a fixed CC map.
    • The SD card mounts as a USB drive from the module.
    • Patch SDK with demos, templates and PATCH-GUIDE.md, plus a desktop simulator.

    Reproducible: building tag v1.0.0 with arm-none-eabi-gcc 10.3-2021.07 gives a byte-for-byte identical .bin. Licence: GPL-3.0.
