v2.0: seventeen effects, stereo and a looper

Made alongside MIDISTOMP v2.0. Every effect also works on stock firmware.

New effects

• GRDLOOP: a looper that records whole bars on the song grid. On MIDISTOMP v2.0 up to about 24 s stereo or 48 s mono, with latched rolls and footswitch control.
• LOUDER: a mastering limiter.
• DJFilter: a DJ filter and kick kill.
• Washout: a delay that melts into a cloud.
• Takeoff: risers and downlifters.
• Gooey: a mix bus compressor.
• GRDELAY (was GridDly): one tempo-synced delay with six engines.

Stereo: on the MS-70CDR, EuGate, Sweep, Breather, S.GN_L, Scrub, GRDELAY, Choral and GRDLOOP are stereo. WaveFold, DualShft, DirtBox and DubSiren hear both inputs added together and keep the dry in stereo.

Install: download Matujuice_ZoomMS_pack.zip (all seventeen) or single .ZDL files below and write them with Zoom Effect Manager. Steps in the README.

v1.6: tempo from the custom firmware

The tempo effects (DualShft, Choral, EuGate, DubSiren, Scrub, Breather, GridDly, Sweep) are now made for the custom MS-50G firmware zoom-ms-modding (MOD 0.4 or later). Tested on a Zoom MS-60B running MS-50G firmware.

• No Tempo knob: they play at the pedal's tempo (MIDI clock, tap or patch tempo), and the pedal's tap button shows on them.
• While a MIDI clock runs they stay on its grid. MIDI Start restarts them on the downbeat, and an effect switched on or loaded mid-song lands in the right place.
• After Stop they keep running at the last tempo. On stock firmware they play at 120 BPM.
• Rate and time knobs keep their free Hz/ms values and note values.
• EuGate's Reset loses SYNC (OFF, NOTE, PEDAL).
• Removed: SyncEQ, the iPhone (Mozaic) bar sync, FOLLW and the twin Tempo copies. For stock firmware and the Mozaic sync, use v1.5.

Twelve free effects for Zoom MS pedals, made for synths and drum machines. All tested on a Zoom MS-60B (MS-50G firmware).

New effects

• DirtBox: multi-model distortion with a 3-band EQ.
• Breather: tempo-synced pump with a built-in reverb.
• SyncEQ: bar-synced EQ.
• GridDly: tempo-synced delay with several engines on a Type knob.
• Sweep: phaser, flanger and filter in one bar-synced effect.

Changed

• Choral is rewritten as a pitch-tracked choir that sings the note you play.
• Bar sync on slots 4-6 now works through FOLLW (see docs/IPHONE-SYNC.md).

Install: unzip Matujuice_ZoomMS_pack.zip (or take single .ZDL files), load them with Zoom Effect Manager. Patches that use Choral need their knobs set again.

• Tempo is now on knob 8 for DualShft, Choral, EuGate and DubSiren, matching Scrub. Patches saved with older versions of those four need their knobs set again.
• DubSiren: new Trig modes SHold and SPuls wait for the next beat, so the siren starts on the beat and stays in step with the bar.
• EuGate: new Sync setting Reset SYNC (works like OFF) for bar sync. Shift now delays the pattern instead of advancing it.
• DualShft: delay times can sync to the tempo (1/32 up to 1 bar).
• iPhone bar sync v2: the Mozaic script no longer needs to know which effect is in each slot. See docs/IPHONE-SYNC.md or PatchStorage.

• Bar-sync reset on the Tempo knob: DualShft, Choral, EuGate, DubSiren and Scrub now have a twin Tempo knob that holds each BPM twice. Stepping between the two copies of the same BPM restarts the effect on the bar.
• iPhone bar sync: a Mozaic script in AUM flips the Tempo knob of the effects in slots 1 to 3 over USB SysEx on every downbeat, so they stay locked to your drum machine. Setup: docs/IPHONE-SYNC.md

Scrub buffer 7.9 s, Pos reaches 6 s back.

Two new effects and a better Mix.

• S.GN_L: a broken digital line (packet loss, codec damage). File SGNL.ZDL.
• Scrub: scrub through the last 6 s and freeze the grain where you stop.
• Mix on every effect is now a DJ-style crossfade: dry full up to 50, wet full from 50, both full at 50.
• New Choral cover. Tested on a Zoom MS-60B running MS-50G firmware.
