    • MIDI keyboards play again. A note from a MIDI keyboard (USB or the TRS jack) sounds on the focused layer's voice. In 2.0.0 these notes were silent.
    • VESPER's ID now matches its listing on the FM-1 Firmware Hub.
    • The source code follows fm1-base's usual layout, so the Hub's VIBE converter can build it.

    Your saved presets stay when you update from 2.0.0.

    Install: open FM1-VESPER-2.0.1-Installer.html in Chrome or Edge, connect the FM-1 by USB and press Install.

  2. vesper-2.0.0VESPER 2.0.03 files

    VESPER now runs on fm1-base and felucca-bsp instead of M-VAVE's FM1 Open SDK. The scenes, sounds and screens are the same.

    • Samples built in. Piano, marimba and glockenspiel are part of the firmware. There is nothing extra to install, and the Firmware Hub can install VESPER directly.
    • User presets: hold SEL and turn PRESETS to step through them. A saved preset keeps its scene, sounds, FX and SPACE, even when renamed.
    • Screen: tuned as 1.x tuned it. The update screens are in VESPER's colours.
    • Audio: lighter on the chip, with identical sound. Under heavy load, the oldest synth voices are released first instead of the sound breaking up.
    • Bluetooth MIDI is not in 2.0 yet. Projects saved in 1.x do not carry over.

    Install: open FM1-VESPER-2.0.0-Installer.html in Chrome or Edge, connect the FM-1 by USB and press Install. It installs over M-VAVE's V15 or another open firmware. To go back, use "Back to the stock firmware" on the same page.

    First public release of VESPER, an ambient sequencer firmware for the M-VAVE FM-1 (identity FM-1_8837001).

    Install with FM1-VESPER-1.1.0-Updater.html, which also installs VESPER’s piano, marimba and glockenspiel samples. You can go back to V15 at any time from the same page. See the README for controls and the CHANGELOG for details.
