  1. a4-v0.12A4 mod 0.12 (SA12)Latest8 files

A4 mod 0.12 (SA12) for Sidecar 0.4.0: the Sidecar on an Analog Four MKII, OS 1.56. A track's sound picks a Sidecar machine on its OSC1 page; the machine's audio comes back over Overbridge into that voice's own analog path, so PLAITS or JUNO go through the A4's filters, overdrive, amp and FX. No audio code is patched. With no Sidecar, or with every sound OFF, the A4 plays as stock.

    • Chords on any track, from the sequencer and a step's preview; locks and LFOs on the machine's knobs; OS2 can be a machine too.
    • The Sidecar's pages on the A4's screen with UP + YES, the USER SLOTS page among them. With a Sidecar, UP and DOWN leave the keyboard's octave alone (OCT+ and OCT- still move it).
    • SA12 draws a frame on the screen only when it was copied whole.
    • It has run on a real A4 with a Pi 5 and with a Pi 4. SA12 itself has been flashed on a real A4 and passed: unplug and replug, the octave keys, UP and DOWN, the Sidecar menu. Not tried anywhere: a computer in Overbridge with a machine set, so keep every sound OFF for computer sessions. Recovery over MIDI DIN from a torn image is not rehearsed: have a DIN interface in hand.

Downloads: .elemod files only, never a .syx.

    • core-0.3.elemod (elekloader's core-a4 0.3) + sidecar-a4-0.12.elemod + a4156.lock.json: build with elekloader's command line at c150ac5, the lock file and version SA12:
    python3 -m elekloader.patch --stock Analog-Four_MKII_OS1.56.syx --mod core-0.3.elemod \
        --mod sidecar-a4-0.12.elemod --lockfile a4156.lock.json --version SA12 --out sidecar.syx

The result must have SHA-256 e9eab646102844518ff48e44864f42b2a555aadc2b8fd86b5eaabe2d772a1d71. Or use the browser patcher, build a4-sa12 (the same file): https://trigcondition.github.io/sidecar-expander/patcher/ . Not on elekloader's web page: it has no lock file and gives a file nobody has tested.

Never share the .syx you build: it holds Elektron's firmware. Install, back to stock and the limits: https://trigcondition.github.io/sidecar-expander/using/analog-four/

It needs Sidecar 0.4.0 on the Pi: https://github.com/trigcondition/sidecar-firmware/releases/tag/v0.4.0

  2. v0.4.0Rytm firmware 0.4.012 files

Rytm firmware 0.4.0 for Sidecar 0.4.0: the Sidecar's Analog Rytm MKII mods as one elekloader module, in two builds of the same source, for OS 1.74 (the OS Elektron offers now) and for OS 1.73.

    New:

    • OS 1.74 support: the 1.74 build has run on a real Rytm (stock 1.74 first, then the build: the Sidecar machines, the pages, SEND FX with ROUTE PRE, the MASTER page, kit save and reload). You can move between 1.73 and 1.74 in both directions with Elektron's stock files (checked on a unit); recovery is the stock file of the OS you want to be on. Back up every project before any OS change. Elektron's site offers only 1.74 now, so keep your own copy of the 1.73 file if you want it. On 1.73 you can stay on 1.73.
    • The report master FX's through mode needs: each track's pan and route, so the Sidecar's mix of the Rytm's tracks is stereo.
    • MD's own page, with ENGINE, TYPE and all 30 drum types named.
    • The JUNO and 6-OP FM preset browser, and DSP SAMPLE's sample picker, on knob A of SRC.
    • List knobs of up to 36 names (16 before).
    • The MIDI machine (machine 50), and the arpeggiator's settings in the sound (UP + FLTR opens its page).

    Fixed:

    • The Sidecar's view on the SRC page no longer gets stuck after a BANK tap; it comes back after the bank menu and after CLEAR / UNDO CLEAR.
    • A drawing race that could make the animated SRC pages flicker (stock's screen showing through between frames of the Sidecar's page) is fixed.

Use our core files, not the Rytm cores elekloader's page lists for 1.74 (core-ar2 0.2 and newer): those keep mod storage where the Sidecar's mods live, and are refused.
