    The first public release of MASIF: a 4-track sample tracker and rack sampler for the M-VAVE FM-1.

    Install at your own risk. Installing replaces the FM-1's firmware. Do not unplug the FM-1, switch it off or let the computer sleep while it installs: an install cut off at the wrong moment can leave the FM-1 unable to start, and then only a hardware flasher can bring it back. MASIF comes with no warranty (GPL-3.0, sections 15 and 16). MASIF is not made, endorsed or supported by M-VAVE.

    Download masif-0.1.zip, unzip it and follow README.txt (Python 3 with mido and python-rtmidi). Then open the web page, https://thecemeterygates.github.io/masif-fm1/, in Chrome or Edge: CONNECT, add samples, SYNC POOL. Its GUIDE tab explains everything else.

    Known limits: the web page's SPEED does not work yet; USB audio is tested on macOS only (44.1 kHz); MIX on the FM-1's sampler records MASIF's own sound only.

    Built on zp12 (zvenson), SLOOP (isod89), Felucca (Leo Kuroshita) and Ketch (Adrien Risser-Zhuang), with NoteSorcery's USB audio input.
