Install:
./instalar-linux.sh jangada-1.0.1.fwsc, or the web installer. Replaces 1.0. Your presets and projects are kept. Nothing changes in how the FM-1 plays or looks.A DAW or a mixer can keep the FM-1's sound with the song (editor protocol v8, #7):
- TRACK_SOUND (
F0 7D 46 4C 60 <track> F7): a track's whole sound in one frame (engine, every parameter, an FM6 track's own patch). Send the reply back as it came and the track plays that sound again. Nothing is written to flash, no preset slot is touched. Values travel under stable keys, so a dump saved with a project today still loads after a firmware update. - TRACK_PARAMS: several parameters of any tracks in one frame, so a host can fade many at once.
- ENG_DESC: the description of any engine's parameters, without selecting a track on the device.
- Jangada's own command numbers now start at 96, clear of Felucca's and SLOOP's.
This is what the FM-1 strip of Nirbija 0.6.0 uses: the FM-1 as an instrument of the mixer, its four tracks in an editor, its project kept in the session, its sounds changed by scenes on the bar line, and a step sequencer per track (DRUMS names the rows after the kit).

Tested on the host (the v8 commands through the editor's own handler, and the whole suite) and on an FM-1 with Nirbija. The full protocol is in web/EDITOR_PROTOCOL.md, section "v8".

- Every synthesised kit has its own beat now, loaded with the kit into an empty drum track: HIPHOP, CLUB, ACID, POP80, SLOWROCK, TRAP, DRILL, BOOMBAP, LOFI, PHONK, HOUSE, DEEP, TECHNO, MINIMAL, ELECTRO, DISCO, 2STEP, JUNGLE, DUBSTEP, DEMBOW, AMAPIANO, AFRO, LATIN, TRIBAL, DRIVE, CHIP, ARCADE, GLITCH, EBM, HYPER, DRIFT, SWING.
- Brasil, on the MANGUE kit: IJEXA (afoxé), SAMBA, XOTE, FREVO and FUNK (tamborzão), next to MARACATU, BAIAO and COCO.
- Dark ones for the Jangada kits: CORRODE, FOUNDRY, TURBINE, WOUND, DESCENT.
- Fills (viradas): hold GLO + 9, or GLO + 10 for the next bar, and the beat plays its own fill. The fill's steps are FILL / NO FILL steps, so you can edit them on the SEQ layer. The busiest beats (maracatu, frevo, samba…) break instead: the bar drops out and a few hits lead back in.
- Some steps have a chance (75–25 %), so the beat breathes.
A jam on this build: video · mp3.
Tested on the host (every beat and its fill on its kit and on MANGUE, no clipping; every engine and preset rendered, CPU budget) and on an FM-1. Details in the README.

v0.9.9Jangada 0.9.92 files
Install:
./instalar-linux.sh jangada-0.9.9.fwsc, or the web installer. Replaces 0.9.8. Your presets and projects are kept.NOISE: the machines and the iron. Two new modes, after the old ones (nothing saved changes):
- MOTR: bursts of noise, a gear's teeth, struck in time with the key, every 4th harder. DIV divides it (1 a pitched saw blade … 128 slow pistons), GRIT goes from a click to a grind. On the EDIT page, a gear turning.
- COMB: the noise rung by a comb tuned to the key: a pipe, a plate, a hammer on iron. FDBK is how long it rings. On the EDIT page, a pipe's rings.
- Seven presets: SERRA, PISTAO, BETONEIRA, ESTEIRA, TUBO, MARRETA, GARGANTA.
FX LATCH: tap an effect's key twice, quickly, and it stays on after you let go, out of the FX layer too. The top line says LATCH: and which. A tap of that key again lets it go; another effect replaces it.
BPM: SELECT alone changes the tempo on HOME again; on the pages it's still GLO + SELECT, so a stray turn while you tweak doesn't move the rhythm.
Fix: the metronome's blip never quite died away: a faint tone (1047 or 1568 Hz) stayed on after the last click, audible at LEVEL HIGH, even with CLICK OFF. It fades out completely now.
Tested on the host (every engine and preset rendered, CPU budget) and on an FM-1. Details in the README.

v0.9.8Jangada 0.9.8Beta2 files
Install:
./instalar-linux.sh jangada-0.9.8.fwsc, or the web installer. Replaces 0.9.7. Your presets and projects are kept.Jangada's own samples (#5, #6): the four CC0 melodic sets (PIANO, TRANH, FLUTE, SAX) are gone. In their places, synthesized by Jangada: IRON (a struck steel plate), WIRE (a plucked wire), TABLE (a wavetable sweep: in GRAIN, POS walks the timbre) and MOTOR (a machine running, an octave under the key). They keep the same numbers, so a saved SET / SRC, PERC and your USR1–3 slots stay where they were. New SAMPLE presets: SCRAP BELL, ENGINE ROOM (QUIET KEYS and BROKEN KEY left with the piano). The firmware is ~133 KB smaller: about 142 KB free for what comes next.
ENV, LFO and MOD 1–4 with the knobs in a row on top (#6, @gospodindilly-ops' design): ENV draws the envelope filled, with a dot where the playing voice is; LFO shows a dot at its phase; MOD shows SRC → DST → SOUND, the amount as a bar from the middle, and the source's shape as tall as the amount (upside down when it's negative).
From #4: BPM is on GLO + SELECT now (SELECT alone no longer changes the tempo; the top line reminds you), and a double tap of a layer button (FX, GLO, SEQ, SCL, EDIT) locks its layer open; a tap lets it go.
Also: PHYS's STRNG and SYMP strings span the whole screen.
Tested on the host (every engine and preset rendered, CPU budget) and installed on an FM-1. Details in the README.
Full Changelog: https://github.com/zednaked/jangada/compare/v0.9.7...v0.9.8
v0.9.7Jangada 0.9.7Beta2 files
Install:
./instalar-linux.sh jangada-0.9.7.fwsc, or the web installer. Replaces 0.9.6. Your presets and projects are kept.VIVO (#4, @gospodindilly-ops' idea): SEQ > VIVO, VIVO 2, VIVO 3, a living layer over each track's pattern. PULS / ROT (Euclid's rhythms, each hit playing the next note step), DENS + MEM (chance with memory), CYC and ACC (their own cycles against LEN), EVOL (a cellular automaton: R30 R90 R110 R150 R54 R184 R22, every LOOP passes), SEED and FRZ. At its defaults the pattern plays as written.
The engine on its EDIT pages (#5, @gospodindilly-ops' design): the middle of the screen shows the engine at work, read from its own state (SCAN's masses, GENDY's points, WALSH's wave, GRAIN's grains, FM6's operators...), moving with the track's sound. The knobs are a row of circles on top; note values show as dots.
From Felucca 1.1.5–1.5.1 (thanks to @kurogedelic and its contributors):
- metronome and count-in (GLO > CLICK), STEP PREVIEW
- MOMENTARY: hold LFO, turn knobs, let go and they come back (OCT+ keeps them); the top line says so
- REV / ECHO THROW on the FX layer (F#3, G#3)
- LFO 2: SYNC to note values, TRIG, POL; ESYNC for the envelope
- VEL per step (STEP 2), Program Change (renebohne's PR), 6 new arp modes, ROUT CH5-16, KEYS = SCALE
- fixes: USB audio on macOS ≤ 15, MASTER read before the audio starts at power-on, encoders that keep up with a fast turn
Also: hold OCT− and tap a page button for the page before.
Tested on an FM-1 (both cores). Details in the README.

v0.9.6Jangada 0.9.62 files
Install:
./instalar-linux.sh jangada-0.9.6.fwsc, or the web installer. Same sound as 0.9.4. Replaces 0.9.5.The second core, safely (#4; the second core found by @keremimo in Melodee and shipped in X0X by @charlesvestal)
The FM-1's chip has two cores. With both, the synth parts are split between them, and the same patch takes about a third less CPU (31% → 21% on our test load). The sound is bit-for-bit the same.
Not every FM-1 can run both cores at the supply it ships with. Some chips misread their RAM and crash. 0.9.5 raised the supply on every unit. After @keremimo's warning that this could damage someone else's chip, 0.9.6 makes it a choice. MENU > 2ND CORE, read at power-on:
- AUTO (default): both cores at the stock supply. If the second core misreads even once, it's stopped before it runs anything else, the FM-1 carries on with one core, and the setting turns itself to OFF.
- OFF: one core.
- BOOST: raises the chip's supply first (core 1.38 V, DC-DC 1.50 V), for units that need it. This is above the chip maker's own profile and the chip's limits are not public: use it at your own risk. On our unit it took the second core from crashing in seconds to a 33-minute session with no errors.
If your FM-1 shows "IT MISREAD: ONE CORE NOW" under 2ND CORE, it's one of the units that needs more supply. It works fine on one core, as it always has. The measurements are in BUILDING.md.
Full Changelog: https://github.com/zednaked/jangada/compare/v0.9.4...v0.9.6
v0.9.5Jangada 0.9.5Beta2 files
[!WARNING] 0.9.5 raises the chip supply on every FM-1 (core 1.38 V, DC-DC 1.50 V), above what JieLi uses (1.35 / 1.45 V). It runs well on our unit, but the chip's absolute limits are not public. Use 0.9.6 instead: there the raised supply is an opt-in setting, off by default.
Install:
./instalar-linux.sh jangada-0.9.5.fwsc, or the web installer. Same sound as 0.9.4.Both cores (#4, the pointer from @gospodindilly-ops; the second core found by @keremimo in Melodee and shipped in X0X by @charlesvestal)
The FM-1's chip has two cores, and Jangada now uses both. The second core renders part of the synth parts every block, so the same patch costs about a third less CPU (31% → 21% on our test load), leaving more room for heavy engines (FM6, PHYS) and more voices. The sound is bit-for-bit the same as on one core.
The supply fix. On some FM-1s, at the supply the boot loader leaves, the second core misreads RAM (single bit flips) and crashes within seconds. That's what made 0.9.3 and X0X click and freeze on our unit. Before starting the second core, Jangada now raises the DC-DC rail to 1.50 V and the core rail to 1.38 V, a step at a time. On our unit that took it from crashing in 6 s to 15 minutes under load with no errors, then a 33-minute real session with no errors. The measurements are in BUILDING.md.
If the second core ever faults anyway, it is stopped and the FM-1 carries on with one core. A crash early in a boot keeps the next boot on one core.

Install:
./instalar-linux.sh jangada-0.9.4.fwsc, or the web installer. Same sound as 0.9.3.Knobs as circles (#5, an idea by @gospodindilly-ops)
Pages without a graph (EDIT, DIST, INSERT, DLY, REV/CHO, MOD, VOICE...) now show each knob as a circle that grows with its value. The shape follows what the parameter does:
- Disc: amounts.
- Ripples: what rings on (resonance, feedback, reverb, decay).
- Spiral: time and motion (rate, time, glide, swing).
- Wave: the shape of the sound (shape, drive, fold, noise).
- Interference: modulation and detune.
Bipolar values grow from zero and are mirrored below it. Lists (SAW, LFO...) show their value large in the circle's place. The circles are drawn anti-aliased in integer maths.

v0.9.3Jangada 0.9.32 files
Install:
./instalar-linux.sh jangada-0.9.3.fwsc, or the web installer. Same sound as 0.9.2.Robustness
- Engines no longer share state while they render: ANALOG's voice count, VOICE's noise, FM6's operator buses, the random LFO and PHYS's model change are now per track or done outside the render. Every golden render is unchanged (bit for bit).
- The second core is held at the start of every boot, and a fault on it can no longer freeze the FM-1.
The second core (off)
- Jangada can split the synth tracks between the FM-1's two cores (after X0X and Melodee). It's bit-for-bit the same and free of data races in the host tests.
- It's off by default: on our FM-1 the second core reads RAM wrong under load. X0X 1.0.3 misbehaves on the same unit too, so some FM-1s can't run both cores. Details, and how to try it on yours: BUILDING.md, "The second core". Reported to X0X #10 and Melodee #17.
- Serial console:
cpu2,cpu2 on|off,cpu2_bad, and the crash record now shows which core faulted.

What's new (English)
- PHYS (engine 11): physical models (DaisySP, Rings): MODAL, STRNG, MEMB and SYMP. Jangada's presets: BERIMBAU, VIOLA CAIPIRA, ALFAIA, BIGORNA, TRILHO, SINO RACHADO, PIANO PODRE, FERRO VELHO; plus 26 from SLOOP 2.5.
- NOISE (engine 10): ANLG, DUST, LFSR and META noise through a resonant filter. Jangada's presets: FORNALHA, CHAMINE, ESTATICA, ENGRENAGEM, VAPOR, SUCATA NZ; plus 11 from SLOOP.
- Track INSERT (FX → INSERT): SOFT HARD FOLD FUZZ CRUSH PHASR FLANG CHOR after the DIST, with a MIX. OFF (the default) leaves the track as it was.
- MIDI LEARN on the device: hold GLO + key 14, turn a knob, move a controller. Up to 16 CCs, any channel, kept with the settings.
- ROUT = SEL (GLO → SYSTEM): every MIDI channel plays the selected track.
- The arp follows TRN, ROOT, SCALE and QNT on held and latched keys (Felucca #191).
- Projects and user presets now store one byte per value ("JNG2", "UPB3"): 0.8.2's open and convert; a 0.9 backup does not restore on 0.8.2.
Thanks to Leo Kuroshita (Felucca 1.5: INSERT, MIDI LEARN, the #191 fix) and isod89 (SLOOP 2.5: NOISE and PHYS as engines, their presets, the shared engine memory).

- O README explica a página.
Compatibilidade
What's new (English)
- The PRESETS page (tap SAVE) is now No. (KNOB 1), CAT (KNOB 2: the category) and KIND (KNOB 3: a group at a time, with the engine's icon). ENG is gone: KIND already moved from engine to engine, it also reaches the FM6 banks and user presets, and it keeps to the category. To change only the engine, use the EDIT layer (keys 1–10).
- The README describes the page.
- Nothing changes in projects, presets, FM6 banks, backups or the sound.

- a partir daí o knob PRESETS, o KNOB 1 e o pulo de grupo (KNOB 3, ou HOME + PRESETS) só andam pelos presets dela, atravessando todos os motores;
- se o som atual não é da categoria, o primeiro dela é carregado; a barra de cima diz "CAT BASS";
- a coluna No. conta dentro da categoria;
- ALL é a lista inteira, como antes.
- A ideia: gospodindilly-ops (#2).
What's new (English)
- Preset categories: every factory preset is a BASS, LEAD, PAD, KEYS, PLUCK, PERC, DRONE or FX. On the PRESETS page (SAVE button), KNOB 4 (CAT) picks one, and the PRESETS knob, KNOB 1 and the group jump then walk only those presets, across all the engines. No. counts within the category, and ALL is the whole list as before. FM6 bank voices and user presets show under ALL.
- This completes the five ideas of issue #2 (gospodindilly-ops).
- 0.8 projects, presets, FM6 banks and backups are unchanged, and the sound doesn't change.

Novidades
- As ideias: gospodindilly-ops (#2).
What's new (English)
Shaped by the ideas in issue #2 (gospodindilly-ops).
- SAT, per-voice saturation after the filter (ANALOG, EDIT 4): OSC → FILTER → SAT → VCA, with WARM (tube), HARD (a wall) and FOLD (a wavefolder), and SDRV for the amount. Each voice is shaped alone, so chords stay clean. SDRV is a matrix destination. New preset SUCATA (ENV → SDRV).
- Macros for playing live (LFO → MACRO): four knobs, MAC1–MAC4, as matrix sources. Point slots of one part or of all parts at the same MAC and one knob moves them all. MIDI CC 16–19 drive them. They aren't saved with the project.
- Modulating the filter: MOD 1–4 reach every engine parameter, so CUT / RES / DRV / SDRV are destinations (this already worked; it's documented now).
- Web editor, 6-OP FM tab: copy, move and swap patches between any two slots, across both banks.
- 0.7 projects, presets, FM6 banks and backups still load and sound the same. Use the editor that ships with 0.8.

O sequenciador ganhou micro timing, parameter locks e viradas.
No passo seguinte o valor volta.
Tudo fica salvo no projeto.
Sem deriva. O sequenciador, o arpejador e o SLICER contam o tempo exato a qualquer BPM.
Delay pontuado: o TIME vai até 1/8D e 1/16D.
Visualizador.
- Paleta NIGHT: preto puro e verde.
- Micro timing, parameter locks, viradas, FILT por trilha, MIDI OUT do sequenciador, MIDI IN só clock, delays pontuados, CHORD+, STRUM, VLEAD, valores grandes e a ideia do visualizador: SLOOP 2.4 (isod89), adaptados à Jangada. Os estilos do visualizador são da Jangada.
- LEDs que respiram (#119), as cores da NIGHT, o clique da ROOM (jasonpersinger, #121) e o trap de divisão por zero (spinkham, PR #111): Felucca 1.0.2 a 1.0.5.2.
What's new (English)
- Sequencer: with a step held in the SEQ layer, SELECT nudges it (1/64 of a step), ALGORITHM + PRESETS lock a sound parameter on it (12 locks a track), OCT+ sets FILL / NO FILL; GLO + key 9 plays a fill, key 10 fills the next bar. Saved with the project.
- No drift: the sequencer, the arp and the SLICER keep exact time at any tempo; the arp follows MIDI clock too.
- FILT on every track (FX → DIST, knob 4), drums included, lockable.
- CHORD+: the black keys change the chord (F# major/minor, G# 7th, A# sus4, C# 9th, D# inversion); STRM strums it, VLEAD voice-leads it.
- MIDI OUT = SEQ sends the sequencer and the arp over USB; MIDI IN = CLOCK follows the clock only.
- Dotted delay TIMEs 1/8D and 1/16D.
- Visualiser on the TRACKS screen (HOME): OSC, SONAR, VU, ESTEIRA, MAR.
- Big values on the pages without a graph, the NIGHT palette, breathing LEDs instead of hard blinks.
- Fixes from Felucca 1.0.3.1 and 1.0.5.2 (no ROOM click, no divide-by-zero trap).
- 0.6 projects, presets, FM6 banks and backups still load; use the editor that ships with 0.7.

Novidades
Filtro LADR, estilo Moog, no ANALOG.
What's new (English)
- LADR, a Moog-style filter on ANALOG: a four-pole transistor ladder with saturated feedback. Tap EDIT up to EDIT 4, turn knob 1 to the end. Presets PICHE BASS, MOTOR LEAD, LODO.
- FM6 with two banks: 72 patches (F1–F8, B1–B32, B33–B64); a Dexed bank goes to the PTCH's bank, or the screen asks which.
- Bank voices in PRESETS by name (BK1/BK2); hold HOME and turn PRESETS (or knob 3 KIND) to jump a group at a time.
- Old projects, presets and 0.5.x backups still load; use the editor that ships with 0.6 (protocol v7).
