    Why this release matters

    1. Footswitch assignment now actually works

The GP-200 has eight footswitches, and deciding what each one turns on and off is one of the main reasons a player would sit at a computer instead of squinting at the pedal's screen. Until now the app could display those assignments but couldn't reliably write them back, some effect types took, others silently didn't. The cause was a mis-decoded field in Valeton's undocumented USB protocol. We recorded the official Windows editor doing the same action, compared byte-for-byte, and found the value is packed differently than assumed. Now correct, covered by tests, and the "save the patch first" workaround hint is gone. This was the most common source of "the app doesn't work" feedback.

    1. Bulk apply. Push one patch's footswitch layout, or a volume, into every patch at once or a chosen bank range, previously up to 256 patches by hand. The official editor does not do this.

    2. The pedalboard fits any screen. It used to run off the right edge on smaller laptops; it now scales to the window and wraps onto extra rows.

    3. Dark mode, with a stage-lights switch that behaves like real hardware — rebuilt this release to tilt in 3D and click audibly, matching the tactile feel the product is going for. Mutable, and the choice is remembered.
