the buddies

hardware and software for bib, buzzy and blueberry - little plinky-adjacent projects from a few years ago. buzzy is still called buzzrito in a few filenames.

These were available for a while through Thonk and Crey Emporium, and may be again in the future. They are no longer being actively developed, so we are releasing this snapshot of the hardware and software into the public. You are in the right place for that!

original release note

We apologise, its been so long since we looked at this. We are releasing a snapshot of what we have here after a couple of years of barely being touched. We hope that by open sourcing the buddies, people can inspect them, repair them, learn from them, or make their own variants.

Please treat this as a public snapshot rather than an actively maintained product. The hardware is mostly in hw/, the software is in sw/, and the docs/manual sources are in docs/.

We were a bit chaotic at the time of making these design files, and you should know we haven't manufactured anything from this exact version of the files - so please check carefully before ordering anything.

These files are provided as-is, with no warranty or guarantee of correctness, safety, manufacturability, fitness for purpose, or support. On the other hand, we have not intentionally omitted or broken anything! Good luck. If nothing else, we hope these files will serve as a useful reference for somebody to learn from.
